Online Donors: Stay Tuned!

If you made a donation online here at WIBCRadiothon.org, THANK YOU!

We raised almost $8,000 online this year, more than twice the amount of last year. Not too shabby for our second go-round.

We've got a special prize package for our online donors. So, before you start emailing and calling, let me give you a quick heads up on the details.

$218,585!! (and counting...)

Thank you to WIBC 93, all of our sponsors (they're listed here), all our volunteers, and of course, all of our generous neighbors who've opened their hearts and hands to help those in need in our Central Indiana neighborhood.

A final total will be posted. We've got some online donations (which are open for the rest of the month or so) and some counting of kettle donations to do, but wow. WOW! This is a record-setter. 3 days. 3 ways. The Marathon of Giving was Powered by You.

Picture pages, picture pages

Thanks to Katie Stilz, our snap-happy intern, and Mike Rowland, we've got a photo-filled set on our flickr account just waiting for your eyes. View them all. Then, view them all again. Email your friends. Make them your desktop wallpaper. And of course, donate.

Radiothonster's personal fave? This one.

Quick note about last year...

We raised a total of $165,000 and the economy was in a much better state than it is right now.

Today, we're at the $200,000 mark and the economy has been identified as a recession.

This can only mean two things:

Hoosier generosity is alive and well, and The Salvation Army is a trusted vehicle for your financial support.

Thank you.

Please, continue giving today and let's raise another $100,000 today for our neighbors in need.

Radiothonster is signing off...for tonight!

It's been a productive day! Our generous neighbors have added some serious dollars to the total - THANK YOU! Radiothonster is exhausted and headed for a nap. Back in the 6am hour to update you on the night!

It's the shorts

We know that our friend Melanie C. is a generous gal, but I'm thinking that it had to be the promise of Terri and Big Joe (in his trademark shorts) cooking breakfast in her kitchen that prompted the callback. Seriously...thanks, Melanie!

A motivated bunch

Wow, you Hoosiers know how to make a dollar work! When our Radiothon Angel put out the offer to maximize your donations - turning $15x12 to a $600 donation - you jumped at the chance! By 3pm we hit the 100 challenge and we have only YOU to thank. It was a great jump, but the marathon isn't over. Keep those phones ringing - Indy's kids are counting on you!

Pizza like no one else.

Radiothonster here with your pizza fun fact:

Donatos is test marketing Bakery Style in the Big Box, a double-decker square pizza from heaven, currently in the Indianapolis area. So, if you are a volunteer for Radiothon this hour, your lunch is pizza that NO ONE ELSE has. It's better than we deserve.

Thanks Donatos and all of our food sponsors. You can check them out on our 'More Sponsors' page.
