Still Need A Christmas Tree?
December 4, 2010 by Jeff
Still need a Christmas tree? If you’re into the live variety we’ve got a deal for you! This weekend is the WIBC Radiothon to benefit The Salvation Army of Indiana. Sullivan Hardware is one of our terrific sponsors and the show will be broadcast from the store on N. Keystone on Saturday, Dec. 4th from 9am – 3pm. Come on out and buy your Christmas tree during this event and Sullivan will donate $1 per foot to The Salvation Army! Now THAT’S what the Christmas spirit is all about! It’s about giving – giving out of our blessings to our fellow man who needs a hand up.
Join Pat Sullivan, owner of Sullivan Hardware, Dick Crum and Denny Smith as they broadcast live from Sullivan Hardware – Saturday, Dec. 4th from 9am – 3pm for the WIBC Radiothon! And don’t forget to stop by and pick up a tree…a VERY large tree would be best!

Central Indiana Roofing & Restoration

Brad Nomandy of Central Indiana Roofing and Restoration in the WIBC studio
Thank you Central Indiana Roofing and Restoration! Our 6 O’clock sponsor added an extra incentive for our listeners. The top pledge received a gift certificate for $300 of a roof installation, and the second highest pledge received $150 off of an attic insulation install.
This was the first year for Central Indiana Roofing and Restoration to be a sponsor and we hope that it will be the first of many Radiothon’s to come.
Bag O Beans From Hurst Beans

For every pledge made to Radiothon between the 5 – 6 o’clock hour, Hurst Beans will send you a package of Hurst’s Garlic and Herb Lentils.
Hurst’s HamBeens 15 Bean Soup can be found in grocery stores across Indiana and the country. Hurst Beans is our hourly sponsor on this evening’s radiothon. We love Hurst Beans because not only do they support The Salvation Army but they have a product that is cost effective for families. One package plus everything that goes in the pot to make bean soup, costs less than $5.00 but makes 12 servings. That’s less than $.50/serving. We think it’s the best food value in the grocery store. You’ll find Hurst HamBeens in the dried bean section of your local grocery store.
Call 877-71-PEACE and pledge…for beans…and people too!
Val Pak Reach Phone Bank

Jim Brantley from Val Pak Reach
For the second year in a row Val Pak Reach Magazine is the phone bank sponsor for the WIBC Radiothon. Jim Brantley, owner of Val Pack Reach and also a Salvation Army Board Member, came to the studio today to talk about his sponsorship and his work on The Salvation Board. Jim also brings some of his employees to man the phones in the phone bank for 5 hours.
If that wasn’t enough, Jim is also running a campaign today with his Val Pak Envelopes. Val Pak is putting live checks into its envelopes this Christmas to encourage customers to open them. With the check is a special promotion to encourage giving to The Salvation Army this season.
We are truly blessed to have such great supporters. Thank you Jim Brantley and Val Pack Reach!
